G43 gas cylinder
The G43 and K43 gas system is a system that consists of 5 parts, first of all the gas is vented out through a small hole drilled in the barrel and let backwards through the gas port. The gas piston is screwed into the gas port and is a fixed part of the gas system that doesn't move.
The gas cylinder is then shoved over the gas piston, as soon as a shot has been fired hot gasses will flow through the gas port, trough the gaspiston and will try to blow or push of the gas cylinder.
G43 connecting- and actuator rod
The gas cylinder that is forced backwards is connected to the connecting rod, which in turn is connected to the actuator rod. The actuator rod is the part that will push the bolt carrier backward that will create the cycling of the rifle and feeding a new round into the chamber of the barrel.
The gas cylinder is made to fit original gas pistons and also the gas piston we produce, we also offer a complete gas system set and we recommend to replace all springs in this system, also available here.
