.30 M1 Carbine Extractor

The extractor is one of the highest-wear components within the .30 M1 Carbine bolt assembly. Its extractor claw is subjected to repeated engagement with the cartridge rim during every firing cycle, making dimensional accuracy and material hardness essential for long service life.

This replacement extractor is manufactured from heat-treated steel to provide the strength and wear resistance required for reliable operation. Installation requires removal of the extractor, extractor spring and extractor plunger using the correct M1 Carbine bolt disassembly tool or equivalent fixture. As the spring is under considerable tension, controlled disassembly is recommended to prevent damage to the bolt or loss of small components.
