Replacement ejector for the .30 M1 Carbine. Designed to restore reliable cartridge ejection and proper bolt function.
The ejector is installed in the face of the .30 M1 Carbine bolt, where it works alongside the extractor to remove the fired cartridge case from the action. As the bolt travels rearward, the extractor retains its grip on the cartridge rim while the spring-loaded ejector applies forward pressure to the base of the case. This coordinated movement causes the empty case to pivot away from the bolt face and exit through the ejection port.
To perform this function reliably, the ejector must move freely within its bore while maintaining constant spring pressure. Carbon fouling, corrosion or damage to the ejector body can restrict its movement, resulting in weak or inconsistent ejection. Regular inspection of the ejector, ejector plunger and ejector spring is recommended whenever the bolt is disassembled for maintenance.
This replacement ejector is manufactured to match the original dimensions, ensuring correct fit within the bolt assembly. During installation, the ejector should move smoothly under spring pressure without sticking or excessive side play. Because the ejector spring is heavily compressed, disassembly and reassembly of the bolt should be carried out using the appropriate M1 Carbine bolt tool.
A properly functioning ejector contributes to consistent cycling of the action and helps maintain the dependable reliability for which the US .30 M1 Carbine is known.
