P08 Luger Forward Toggle Link

The Forward Toggle Link of the P08 Luger pistol is the front component of the distinctive toggle-lock mechanism. It connects the barrel and receiver assembly to the rear toggle link, forming the jointed arm that gives the Luger its unique operation. When the pistol is fired, the recoil forces drive the barrel and toggle rearward together until the toggle strikes the cam surface inside the frame. This action causes the toggle joint to bend upward, unlocking the breech and allowing the spent cartridge case to be ejected.
